State Course Title: Design, Multimedia, and Technologies

This is a two-year, 3-period program designed to offer the tools and skills students need to succeed in today’s high-technology marketplace. Instruction includes developing proficiency in Web programming specifically HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Javascript, and JAVA; using Adobe Creative Suite products (Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop) to develop interactive websites; incorporating principles of layout and design into Web and desktop-published projects; developing real-world business application development skills using current web enabled application languages; planning, defining and using databases; refining presentation skills and designing electronic portfolios; demonstrating an understanding of business ethics, copyright laws, computer crimes and privacy issues; developing the skills to earn a CIW Web Foundations (year 1); and  a Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification (year 2).

Our Web Development/ Programming course is a dual enrollment course with Reynolds Community College.

Students have the opportunity to become industry certified in the following areas:

  • CIW: Site Development Associate
  • Workplace Readiness
